Description

"Islamiyat" is a cultural application provided by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs & Awqaf and the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The app provides the latest updates relating to the Hijri Islamic calendar, official prayer timings, as well as features such as the Qibla direction, locations of mosques and Islamic centres in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to the ability to calculate Zakat and contribute to charitable donations.

The app provides an number of services available around the year, and others are seasonal based on Islamic occasions.

You can benefit from the following services offered within the application:

• Fa'el Khair: This service enables users to provide financial donations to individuals whom judicial rulings have been issued against, with the ability to select the cases the user would like to support.
• Mosques & Islamic Centres: A service to locate mosques and Islamic centres in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the ability to select & view the directions to the desired mosque on a map.
• Zakat & Donations: Users can calculate and pay the amount of zakat, and donate to charity projects that are run by the Zakat and Charity Fund in Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf.
• The Gregorian & Bahraini Hijri calendar according to Shariah, scientific and astronomical standards, and according to "Al Zubarah and Bahrain Calendar" methodology which was adopted in 1783.
• Prayer Timings: Prayer timing, prayer timings alerts, and the Imsakya timings during Ramadan for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Ramadan Majalis: An inclusive directory of all the daily and weekly Majalis held all over the Kingdom of Bahrain during the month of Ramadan the directory includes all the Majalis names, contact details, timings, the ability to locate the desired Majalis, as well as search for the nearest Majlis to the user.
• Compass: Enables users to locate the Qibla direction.
• Hajj and Umrah: Official directory of the Hajj and Umrah campaign organizers in the Kingdom of Bahrain including their contact details, their office addresses, and the ability to enquire about the pilgrims registration.
• Daily Moon Status: The service enables viewing the phases of the moon on a daily basis with pictures.
